Welcome to Art of Crafts

Welcome to Art of Crafts and thanks for dropping by.

I started this blog because I have a love of anything art and crafts related. Yes, I am the person who scours the surrounding area to see if there are any craft fairs nearby, who loves reading other crafters’ blogs and who can always find something yummy to buy on Etsy.

In my spare time I enjoy knitting, crochet and jewelry making and I have also dabbled in a range of other crafts such as quilting, cross stitching, tapestry and card making. You name it, I love to try it. My Nan was a seamstress by profession and I learned to sew on her very old foot-pedal action Singer machine. As a child I loved looking through her boxes of buttons and there is still nothing nicer to me than browsing craft shops, looking at yarns and swatches of glorious fabric.

In the blog I like to feature How-To guides, interviews with crafters and authors, reviews of books, features on other craft based sites, showcases of designers I have found around the net, giveaways, competitions and much more.
