This month I have designated it quilting month on the blog. Don’t worry that doesn’t mean that we won’t be featuring other crafts – including a super cute needle felted rabbit tutorial next week – but for the next few months at least I want to have a theme. This will mean posts, news, recommendations and giveaways centred around the theme of the month. To keep up with what we have going on, please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter or sign up for our newsletter.
To kick us off I want to share the beautiful quilts of one of our lovely readers. Penny loves to quilt in her spare time and she tells us a little more about herself in the post below.
The process of taking a piece of fabric, and choosing others to work with, then cutting them up, creating shapes and stitching them back together again, I find there’s an excitement there for me. I can’t say I’m experienced that much, all I know is I get great pleasure in creating and and also escaping into some me time!
The quilts I have made or am in the process of making, in my head all have a name.
This one which I made for my daughter was called A Riot of Colour
