***Today’s giveaway is now closed and the lucky winner, drawn by random number generator is……Jennie Guiney, who left the following comment…..
“Wow worst gift. Had to be the dragon oil burner made from rather cheap quality pottery! or the fake gold lidded ashtray. These gifts were from separate people but the same Christmas. Thankfully all presents have vastly improved since then.”
Congrats Jennie, I will be mailing you shortly
Still plenty of time to win other prizes everyone, so please keep entering***

This book is great for anyone wanting to choose a sewing machine and learn all about it and then it takes you literally step by step through all the sewing techniques you will need to get up and running. How many of us have looked longingly at cushions, curtains/drapes and clothes and thought I wished I could do that. Well now there are no excuses. Beg, borrow or steal…..ahem, buy a sewing machine and get started!
I have one copy of the book to give away. Anyone can enter this giveaway, just bear in mind if you are outside the UK it may take a little longer to reach you, but I am running the competition now so that it should have plenty of time to reach anyone before the Christmas season begins in earnest.
There will be one winner chosen from the comments left below on this blog, by random number generator on Wednesday 7th December at 10pm GMT/6pm EDT . To enter you need to follow the two steps below, the winner will be contacted via email, but if the person doesn’t claim their prize within 7 days by providing their postal address the prize will be awarded to another person drawn randomly.

oh dear now thats difficult because I try not to complain about any gift given and consider myself lucky with all my gifts but I supose I could say some gardening clippers when I was a young 23 year old didn’t seem appropriate but I did have a garden.
Wow worst gift. Had to be the dragon oil burner made from rather cheap quality pottery! or the fake gold lidded ashtray. These gifts were from separate people but the same Christmas. Thankfully all presents have vastly improved since then.
Oh have just the right friend for this gorgeous book! Thanks for the chance.
And to add the worst gift bit as my kids pressed send….. A foot tall latex troll complete with fur on his back and a really grumpy face- from my two bff’s for my 21st cos they bought that would be funny!
Well the worst gift I ever received was a candle from the dollar store and it did look a little used = ( It was a Christmas party and everybody was suppose to bring a gift to share ( this was a group I belonged to ). We were all suppose to spend no less than $ 10.00 but not everybody followed the guide line = ))))). I am over it now …lol
My worst gift was probably a salt spoon. I didn’t even know what it was!
Haha – the worse present I was given was a car seat cover with wooden beads which are supposed to give you a massage as you drive. A lovely thought but not my thing I’m afraid!
The worst Christmas present I have ever received would have to be a pan scourer in the shape of an aubergine.
I always seem to get the shaft when it comes to gift exchanges so I have had many bad gifts, but I would have to,say, the worse one was the empty gift bag I got one year with a note that just said “sorry, I forgot”
The worst gift I have received is a Saint Jude prayer card from my grandma. St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes. I was happy to know she had a lot of faith in my life choices. (I do see how this is sweet in a way, it was just a bit galling at the time)
The worst gift I ever received was an Avon ‘Surprise pack’ from my Husband!!! He said he felt sorry for the Avon lady in our area, who only ever knocked the door when he was home, but I never ordered anything & so he though he would, but didn’t know what to choose. He knows better now!
I opened this bag to find
1) a packet of 3 baby bibs (all our kids were over the age of 10)
2) A plastic shower cap (which I’m sure someone had used before I got it)
3) A glitter wreath that had barely any glitter left on it, as it was all at the bottom of the bag & it looked like my dog had made it!
& the pièce de résistance
4) Well I’m not quite sure how to describe them…..they looked like the Incredible Hulk’s hands had been the mould! They were a blue, hard, plastic pair of mittens, that were apparently ‘massage mitts’!!!!! They hurt! Alot! Not me….Hubby (after I threw them at him!)
All he could say in his defence was ‘ it only cost £10′
He’s never lived it down
OOOOOH I WON
thank you so much just made my day!!!
